ROD BUILDING, TYING TRIM BANDS WITH GUIDE WRAPS

This is my current favourite method of tying trim bands while wrapping guide feet. I am using a Neon colourfast thread as it is part of the tip section of pier fishing rod, this type thread also doesn’t need any colour protection coating before resin is applied. What great about this method is trim band is dealt with first and then black thread added after to cover the tag ends. I still find this a little tricky when i am tying by hand but with a bit of practice i am getter a Little faster. It has to said that there are probably more than twenty ways to to get the same result and probably better but that is rod building it is not a one trick pony.
