As part of NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Spacesuit Art Project and the The Periwinkle Foundation’s program at Texas Children’s Cancer Center, NASA astronauts Jack Fischer, Nicole Stott, Mike Foreman, Doug Wheelock and Russian Roscosmos cosmonaut Nikolay Tikhonov spent the morning with patients painting on fabric pieces that will be used to create the VICTORY and EXPLORATION art spacesuits. The Periwinkle Arts In Medicine program at Texas Children’s Cancer Center has been dedicated to bringing the healing power of the arts to patients throughout their cancer journey for over 20 years.
