Copenhagen Light Opens Without Corona - Bigger Than Ever

Copenhagen Light Festival increases the number of works from 36 to 50 and becomes the light festival with the most light installations in Europe. The quiet and cold winter darkness in the Nordic countries being broken by oases of light art and illumination in the center of Copenhagen. The laser called “The Green Beam” tells the city that the light festival is on. The 3.7 kilometer has the color green, because of the calm and it is a basic color within the laser technology. The repeal of corona restrictions in Denmark expects to gather more than last year’s people over the 3 week period, including the winter holidays in the Nordic region. The big Phenix bird, which is 11 meters long, 15 meters wide in the wings and 5 meters tall celebrates the urge for traveling during corona and nature. French artist Francois Gauriaud, explains: “We have made it during the corona period, so we are thinking about traveling and flying and going around, nature, so we have made the Phenix”.
