"По шумама и горама" - "Po šumama i gorama" - Yugoslav Partisan Song

“По шумама и горама“ of “Po šumama i gorama“ is a song based on the melody of the Russian White Army’s “Марш сибирских стрелков“. After the Bolshevik victory in the Russian Civil War, a new partisan-oriented version of the original song was created in 1929, and would later become popular in many communist movements in Europe during the 30s and 40s. The Yugoslav Partisans led by Tito were no exception, and the Serbo-Croatian variant of the song became an unofficial anthem of the movement.
