Boney M - Do You Wanna Bump Parts 1 & 2 - Hansa Records - 1975

As I am uploading this Boney M debut 7” single onto YouTube to my few loyal supporters, I feel what’s left of my tenuous credibility drain away. This ain’t Crass, and it certainly ain’t The Mob, nor The Chords, nor Psychic TV, nor some obscure reggae group or artist! It is Boney M. It is time for me to fess up. I own two Boney M records. This one (the debut 7” single) and ‘Mary’s Boy Child / Oh My Lord’ 7” single. I got ‘Mary’s Boy Child / Oh My Lord’ on the Jamaican Dynamic record label with a Byron Lee reggaefied B-side, a different B-side to the a European and USA versions. I got these records at some point for pennies in charity shops. Boney M – always lurking in charity shop record crates. James Last and Herb Albert also representing! In the latter 1970’s I remember that I really liked (still do in fact) ‘Rivers Of Babylon’ when I used to hear it on the radio or on the TV.
