The top diesel model, the FH16 Aero, has an all-new 17-liter six-cylinder engine with 780 hp and 3800 Nm of torque. The new D17 engine is the most powerful engine ever installed in a Volvo truck. Regardless of which powertrain customers choose - electric, gas or diesel - all variants of the new FH Aero will benefit from lower energy consumption, a longer range and excellent safety. Another feature is the new camera monitor system, which also improves aerodynamics and safety. This system replaces conventional exterior mirrors and significantly expands the driver’s field of vision, thereby increasing the safety of the driver and other road users.
