“DEMON PARK“ (Demon) by melX0exe, Xender Game, DavJT & more {All Coins} | Geometry Dash

“demon park“ by M2coL is an old legendary Demon that I’m sure many of my viewers know about. The ID of the level is only 10109 as it was released at a time when the Demon difficulty didn’t even exist. It was the hardest level RobTop had seen at the time, prompting him to add a new difficulty fittingly named Demon and making this the first one. With that in mind, it’s easy to see that the level was extremely influential. Now, melX0exe and a bunch of other creators have remade it in “DEMON PARK“. (Yes, the only distinction in the naming is how it’s capitalized.) The gameplay is pretty much the exact same as the original level, which surprised me a little when playing. Due to the major visual changes, it feels very different to play. I find it cool how that works, and it goes to show the importance of visuals in levels; I have to say that some parts in this are harder to read than the original. While the added detail everywhere does make it look better (at least for most people), it does obscure the gameplay elements. Playing the original with only basic blocks, spikes, orbs, and portals is basically like playing the layout of this. If you’ve played the original recently, it should be pretty easy to get this down too, but a couple of transitions may be tricky first, especially the ones with mirror portals. It should still be Easy Demon in terms of difficulty. As for the visuals specifically, I think the team did a good job overall. They did a nice job of adding onto M2coL’s original structures and obstacles in interesting ways. It’s a little inconsistent in style, theme, and quality, but I think it works personally. We’ve gotten spoiled with massive megacollab projects in recent times that take long and have crazy scale, which is sick in its own right. However, I do miss smaller megacollabs that don’t take themselves too seriously where the creators just have fun together. This seems exactly like that considering each part was decorated in only 48 hours. Despite the minor inconsistencies, I think this is good enough for an Epic rating overall. - COIN RATING - Silver. 2/4. It’s been a while since I’ve done coin reviews, which is partially due to less levels having coins, but also because levels with coins may be recorded by someone else than me. I don’t feel right reviewing coins I didn’t actually get myself, so I skip reviewing in those cases. This time, I got them, though. I can’t say it’s the best return to coin reviews, as they aren’t particularly good, but they’re not terrible either. They’re both harder than the normal route. On the other hand, they’re very simple and easy to figure out. • 1st coin: Bronze. The coin is seen at 0:11, and as you learnt a few seconds earlier, passing through and pushing some of these small blocks is possible. Jumping one platform early and using the yellow orb, which is a fake when taking the normal route, makes you able to reach the wall before the coin. I like how you need to jump early and use the fake orb, but there’s not a whole lot to it while not being much harder than the normal route considering it has some timings as well. Some kind of collectible involved or a bit longer alternate route would’ve brought it up to Silver. • 2nd coin: Silver. This coin is also pretty obvious, but it has just enough to it to deserve a Silver rating. At 0:27, you can choose to go up through the yellow gravity portal, which takes you to a key. Admittedly, this path does cover a bit much of the screen and make the normal gameplay a little confusing, but that’s another problem. Interestingly, the original level allowed you to pick between both equally, while here the one that’s a little more technical is used for the coin. This path is a little harder because of the gravity change, and the key then nicely unlocks an extra path for the coin at the bottom. Once again, adding a bit more to the coin, particularly making it a little less obvious while still having some hints, would’ve made a Gold rating possible. ★ Become a Member of my channel for special perks: - VIDEO INFORMATION - Game (version): Geometry Dash () Level: “DEMON PARK“ by MaxyLAND, Djman13, 9gunzlezz, DeoxLite, 16lord, Flaks45, Xender Game, 7ak, melX0exe, SupuGD, DavJT, NeonDusk, vegtam and erquillo1 ID: 93942081 Music: “Time Machine“ by Waterflame - LINKS - Discord: Twitter: Twitch: Merchandise: Thumbnail by @melX0exe
