Daisy Edgar Jones shot to stardom earlier this year when she starred as Marianne in Normal People, the BBC adaptation of the best-selling book by Sally Rooney. Fans and critics alike praised her interpretation of the character, with much being made of the chemistry between her and her on-screen love interest Connell, played by Paul Mescal. “There was never really a point where I decided that I wanted to go into acting,“ she tells us in the latest episode of our new Master the Art series. “It was always something that I was doing, and loved doing, and it was really something that I fell into from auditioning for the National Youth Theatre, which was something my mum recommended I do“.
