Seidr and War Magic: The Normans who brought a witch to battle

She is described as being seated on a platform in the middle of the army, shouting curses, casting spells and bearing her backside to the enemy. This description is incredibly similar to seidr and the seiðhjalli, or seið-platform found in the Icelandic sagas.
