Om Ah Hung 396

This is mainly a musical composition created with the ZynAddSubFx software synthesizer. This synth has the ability to re-map the piano keys to solfeggio scale. I am not sure if the software is doing this perfectly, but it is creating a new non-diatonic scale with new chords. I found I was slightly out of my element, very used to using harmonic fifths and embedded frequencies. But I experimented with some chords and layered them on each other to produce this effect. All six solfeggio notes (the main ones) are represented in the main chord progression with an emphasis on 396 hz and its higher and lower octave equivalents. This frequency I call the “ice breaker“ and helps move us beyond “guilt and fear“, unstucking us from old guilt so that we can move forward again in our growth, though it may stir up the old feelings again as they move out. I have been also experimenting with using Open Shot, a Linux Video Editor and the Gimp image editor in order to create the video. I am choosing to move beyond a sequence of stills by animating them. The present sequence is still rougher than I would like. I am going to work on refining the images some and working with “pgn“ sequences. The pictures are of my favorite meditation statue of Amida Buddha. I got two of them for one of my birthdays and kept one. I like how serenely peaceful the Buddha is. I wanted to show how dynamically alive the visualizations can be. The pulsation is meant to be on the exhale. Magneta is a color for spiritual/psychological healing and balance (Dinshah color healing system). I have also embedded some mantras in the video and some useful information. The main theme is the use of three seed syllables, Om Ah Hung, to purify the three poisons of the mind (which are at the root of all our sorrow). There is a solfeggio chord progression that includes all the six main healing sounds (I think, I have not yet found a way to test the success of the software solfeggio scale emulation yet and my hear is not yet fully trained). It sounded a little like chanting the three seed syllables. The ripple sound is a variation of 396 hz at a lower octave.
