Making Silver Lining Cold Process Landscape Soap with the Sculpted Layers Technique

I made this soap in collaboration with 91 other members of the Soap Challenge Club as my “entry“ for the #secretsoapchallenge in honor of Amy Warden. There was no official challenge this month as Amy is battling cancer and had surgery. However, several other members took charge and organized for everyone to make a special soap for Amy with a message to show her our support during this difficult time. I decided on this design, which I named Silver Lining, because I wanted to wish Amy for the sun’s rays to break through the storm she’s facing and shine for her from here on forward. The soap developed some glycerin rivers in it, but these just added to the charm of it. The layers with storm clouds got outlines and a bit of texture and as someone else pointed out, the sun has a sort of halo effect around the rays, too. *****YOU CAN PURCHASE MY SOAPS AT !***** Shop the original Soap Stencil™ tools!
