The Discovery of More Galaxies and Its Potential Impacts on the Economy

The Hubble Space Telescope has made another remarkable discovery, this time finding three galaxies that were previously unknown to astronomers. They are in the constellation of Virgo and are around 30 million light-years from us. While the discovery of new galaxies is not uncommon, the Hubble Telescope’s advanced capabilities continue to provide astronomers with a wealth of new information about the universe. Hubble Space Telescope images show three galaxies colliding and merging. While galactic collisions are fairly common, this one is rare because each galaxy is producing stars at the same time. In the process, the spiral structure the galaxies now possess will be wiped out by gravitational interactions between the three galaxies, seen in the constellation Boötes. In the image, three galaxies, collectively known as SDSSCGB 10189, appear to be merging. The galaxies’ shapes are already distorted, and strands of gas and dust link them.
