Roger Miller cover of The Beatles Yesterday 1966

This mega-rare recording was taken directly from a 1/4“ reel to reel home audio recording of the short lived NBC TV Roger Miller Show, which aired in the fall of 1966. (I am unsure of the exact date of this episode.) What is especially interesting about this cover is that Miller actually won the 1966 Grammy for Best contemporary (rock and roll) vocal performance, male for “King Of The Road“ and in the process beat Paul McCartney who was nominated for “Yesterday“.
