From Men To Soldiers (1941)

Unused / unissued material - location and dates unclear or unknown. Eire, Southern Ireland, Republic of Ireland. Good story showing the transition of a squad of civilian recruits to the Irish Army going through the stages of medical, kitting out with uniform, haircuts. Nice shots of Sergeant waking them up in barrack. They are trained in marching and rifle drill, rifle shooting and bayonet practice, training with gas masks, PT, sports and classroom studies, nice shots of them eating and drinking in mess. Finally they emerge as a smart fully trained soldier from their camp. Quick shots of soldiers playing hurling. Good MS of soldier doing rifle drill on pedestal. (Neg.)
