Then she conquered the hearts of the italians but not yet the song-contest itself. That occured in 1971 together with singer-songwriter Nicola di Bari. The song ’Una chitarra e una armonica’ is not entirely in italian, for she sings: “. . .vara varavan blem blem Va varavan varavan blem blem varavan varavan blem blem“ etc. The joy and gaiety she exposes is of a de-icing nature.
