Time travel movie takes you back over 100 years to a beach in 1920s Holland. Silent black & white film now in glorious 4K 60fps color clarity - and with sound! There is something about being on a beach which is timeless. The sound of waves touches us all. A gentle reminder that while our short lives may come and go, the Earth keeps on turning. These fragments of film of people now long gone, can be enjoyed with a little more sense of reality. It’s interesting to see the legacy of the Edwardian era still present. We still see the wagons rolled down to the waters edge for the more conservative to get changed in. Bathing suits for women had still to evolve. But the roaring 20s was just around the corner! I published an earlier restoration of this footage last year. This is a new AI colorized version using deep exemplar- based colorization. Once again an ambient soundtrack was added for an immersive experience. Sound on film was still several years in the future wh
