SAPIENS - The dystopia after climate change. A SciFi short film

In a cinematic dystopia, the short film “Sapiens“ outlines the consequences of our destructive actions. After the fictional activation of all global tipping points, decades of hunger and monoculture, human failure escalates into climate wars. The remaining humans retreated to deeper and cooler layers of the earth. There, a severely impaired human rises in the form of a new advanced civilization. Although humans changed greatly, they did not adapt their behavior and in this dystopia, just as in their past, they exploit nature in a cruel and industrialized way. In a critical examination of our self-image and our resource extraction on earth, the film aims to set an impulse for the protection of our ecosystems. To achieve this, the film plays with a partly provocative portrayal of industrialized slaughter as well as a nostalgia for nature.
