Adventure-loving Erik Kondo created the one-of-a-kind skateboarding wheelchair because, despite being paralysed after a motorbike accident more than 30 years ago, he wanted to keep active. The incredible invention sees Erik hop up onto the electric skateboard, where the back wheels of his chair are held in place by rails attached to the board. Erik then controls the board with forward and backward pressure on the wheels, allowing the skateboard to twist and turn – allowing Erik can hit up the slopes at the skate park.
