Made famous as a backdrop by director John Ford in a series of films like “Stagecoach,“ “The Searchers“ and “Fort Apache,“ the Navajo lands of Monument Valley National Monument, which borders the Arizona-Utah border, is a magical place held holy by the Navajo Nation.
