[AI DUB] The Nightmare of Fabrication - Serial Experiments Lain

This is a dub I made for Serial Experiments Lain’s Dc1029. This was made for the sole purpose of being included in my full story compilation video of psx Lain. Since that was taking a while to finish, I decided to upload it on its own in the meantime. No, this was not made using the recently released Lain AI chatbot. Music, some sfx and other misc sounds taken from the show and Lain BOOTLEG. Possible questions you may have: - Wow, this sounds amazing/terrible/terrifying. How did you do it? I used RVC (Retrieval Based Voice Conversion) for the voice. I recorded every line and fed it to the AI thingy. The models are available for download on huggingface, just type WiredMemories/SEL into the searchbar. Please note that these models were created specifically for this video. I don’t know if they can sing. I also used KOKOLЁ’s Lain model for a couple of lines. Visit their channel for more information: @kokole_ken - Why is this in Japanese? Like I explained before, this was intended to be experienced along with a compilation of the entirety of psx lain. That’s why it wouldn’t make sense for the characters to be speaking in English. - Wait, I finished the anime and I don’t understand what the heck is going on. Now I’m even more confused. This manga comes from the artbook Onmipresence in the Wired and has little to do with the plot of the anime. The Nightmare of Fabrication takes place roughly in the middle of the story of the ps1 “game“, a few levels into Site B (or disc 2). That’s also why it’s called Dc1029. I hope that makes it less confusing for you. - The voices sound so robotic!!! You made a mistake pronouncing x word!! This is terrible!!11!!1!1 Well, I never said I knew how to act... I also never said I spoke Japanese. Hey, I tried, okay?
