Ellis) The Early Years Recording Track 1 of 15 - In this first group as leader, the R&B organ trio Woodchuck, Jocko is heard playing one of his all time favourite tunes; Pee Wee Ellis’s “The Chicken.“ Featuring Jocko on bass, Billy Burke on Hammond B-3 and Bob Herzog on drums, Woodchuck’s version of The Chicken is rather obscure compared to later version but show exactly where Jocko was at in 1969. Billy and Bob were big influences on Jocko.
