Caroline Polachek & Charli XCX - Welcome to my Island [remix] (The Shrine Auditorium, LA 4/29/23)

I had a vacation planned with cousins to visit Yosemite National Park and LA and found out this show coincided with my travel dates. All I needed to do was move my flight, and grab and ticket and I was good to go. I had feeling like this was going to be a special show, and boy did it turn out to be so. It was the perfect balance of sightseeing with family and then end it all with an epic concert. Honestly the trip out west couldn’t have gone any better. The VIP Q A came with three questions, Caroline’s favorite animal: Swallow bird, Caroline’s favorite lyrics on the new album: Verse 2 of Blood and Butter, and What was she drinking in the Welcome to My Island music video: Spewing hot lava from a Starbucks cup. Songs performed in the VIP included Look at me Now, Pretty in Possible, and then a request by Caroline directed at my friend Barbara, Ocean of Tears.
