U2 Pays Tribute to Hundreds Killed at Israel Music Festival

U2 paid tribute to the hundreds of people killed at an Israeli music festival, that came under attack early on Saturday, October 7. During U2’s performance at The Sphere in Las Vegas on October 8, Bono dedicated their song “Pride (In the Name of Love)” to those killed at the Nova Festival, during a Hamas assault. “In the light of what’s happened in Israel and Gaza, a song about non-violence seems somewhat ridiculous, even laughable, but our prayers have always been for peace and for non-violence…” Bono said on stage. “But our hearts and our anger, you know where that’s pointed. So sing with us… and those beautiful kids at that music festival.” Israeli officials said at least 250 people were found dead near the site of the festival. At least 687 people were killed in the Gaza Strip and thousands injured by Monday evening, in retaliation attacks, Palestinian officials said. #U2 #israel #hamas #palestine Page Six is your source for celebrity news, gossip, entertainment, pop culture, photos, video and more.
