LAURA (David Raskin) GENE TIERNEY TRIBUTE, BEST HD QUALITY

Gene Tierney was one of the ’Golden Hollywood’ eras most beautiful actresses. It is unfortunate that she had to endure much hardship in her life. She gave birth to a daughter who was deaf and mentally disabled, the result of a fan breaking a rubella quarantine. She was also plagued by her own mental illness for years which made her career almost impossible to manage. The music for “Laura“ was composed by David Raskin for the 1944 movie “Laura“ starring Gene Tierney. The lyrics were later written by Johnny Mercer after the film had made the tune popular. This song has become a jazz standard with over 400 existing recordings. This instrumental version is performed by the Orlando Pops ! Thanks For Your Comments.
