Steve Vai - “Hendrix tribute day“ at Santa Cruz Blues Festival 2011

Steve was the closer at this all star festival on the day themed “Experience Hendrux“ and was playing to a rainsoaked audience by this point tho there was a covering over the stage (note the tarps covering some of the equipment, however). An awesome performance by Steve, rain or shine! About 4 mn into the clip he starts to get really tricky, then he goes a little crazy :-) The man in front of the stage facing the camera is a security dude. All security were unfortunately apparently instructed to stand in front of the stage facing the crowd. He did not turn around even once. Guess he wanted to keep his job.
