Title: Ikanaide/[行かないで] Lyrics: Goro Matsui 松井五郎 Music: Koji Tamaki 玉置浩二 Release: 1989 (Original date) The song Ikanaide, also known as “Do Not Leave“ and “Late Autumn/Autumn Strong“, was born in 1989 from the collaborative works of Kōji Tamaki (Renowned Japanese singer-songwriter, actor, and lead singer of the 1980’s band, “Anzen-Chitai“) and Goro Matsui (one of the band members). In the same year the song was composed, it was used as title song for a Chinese-Japanese TV series Farewell, Lixianglan. The TV drama told the story of a Japanese woman, Yoshiko Yamaguchi, born in China in 1920. Hiding her Japanese identity, she rose to stardom in China, mostly taking parts in propaganda movies representing China. At the end of WWII, Yoshiko was arrested for treason and collaboration with the Japanese and was sentenced to death. Eventually, she was set free and migrated to Japan, where she lived out the rest of her life. Yoshiko passed away in 2014. On February 11, 2017, Dimash performed the Chinese version of the song Ikanaide, “Late Autumn“ (“秋意浓“), on the 4th episode (2nd round) of the Chinese TV reality show, I AM SINGER. Since then, Dimash has performed this song countless times at concerts and other venues. As he does with all his other covers, Dimash makes the song totally his own while giving respect to the original composer/artist.
