New York on the Clock: Koji Yoshioka, Visual Merchandiser

If you’ve ever admired the window displays along Saks 5th Avenue’s flagship storefront over the last seventeen years you’ve seen Koji Yoshioka’s work, but you probably haven’t seen Koji. He spends most of his day down in the basement workroom, three levels below the ground floor, dressing mannequins in designer outfits he carefully puts together but admits he probably wouldn’t wear himself. When he’s not working, Koji plays chess and caters to his bossy cat Hana, which means “flower“ in Japanese.
