Youtuber shot after harassment prank goes spectacularly wrong

A Youtuber known for childish pranks on random people was given one hell of a dislike, when the target of one of his videos pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest. 21-year-old Tanner Cook, who runs the ‘Classified Goons’ channel, was harassing delivery driver Alan Colie back in April, following him through a Virginia shopping mall while his cellphone played a bizarre phrase through Google Translate. Unnerved by having the cell phone shoved in his face repeatedly, Colie asked Cook to stop numerous times before trying to knock the phone away. When Cook still persisted, Colie panicked, pulled out his gun and shot Cook in the chest. Cook survived despite spending time in intensive care, and Colie was charged with aggravated malicious wounding. However, he has now been found not guilty, but could face a lesser firearms charge. The jury ruled that Colie had acted in self defense, and would have reasonably felt threatened since he had no idea he was the subject of a YouTube prank by some gimps in hats.
