John Lennon on Dick Cavett (Complete show) 2nd Appearance with live Performance

May 12th, 1972 John and Yoko talk with and perform for Dick and Shirley McClaine. John defends his use of the word “nigger“ for his song “woman is the nigger of the world“, in addition to explaining his deportation and custody dilemma. Shirley McLaine talks out of ass for most of the show, watch her repeatedly praise John and Yoko off camera and be politely dismissed. While being interviewed, she states she has no belief in spirits and paranormal things--which she must have forgotten later in career when she started selling that nonsense. Shirley also demonstrates the lost art of the uncomfortably long hug with Yoko.
