The availability of educational data on the one hand, and the increasing ability to make sense of this data on the other hand, provides new opportunities for using computational methods to support students in their learning process and teachers and researchers in their understanding of how students learn. Dr. Ya’akov (Kobi) Gal leads the human-computer decision-making lab at the department of information science engineering in Ben-Gurion University. He is also a research associate at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University.
