Israel’s warning to American Universities amid rise in antisemitism

Israel’s President has penned a stern letter to American Universities, calling on campus presidents to take action on antisemitism. Isaac Herzog wrote: “Never, as someone who has always looked up to the standards of the American university, could I have foreseen the images and voices that have reached me since the tragedy of October 7“. “How can anyone endorsing, excusing, or glorifying the Hamas atrocities have a place in any college, or in the civilized world?“ the President asked. Israel’s President has spend time meeting with grieving families and relatives of hostages following the October 7 attack by Hamas. He called on each institution to develop a plan to combat antisemitism for the campus and wider community.
