Now that I am done my sheep painting called “Vatolakkos Fields VIII“ I can do videos with the massive amount of footage I have! What better way to start with what I did first... The Underpainting! ... Why do I do an underpainting? Well I like to establish the composition! regardless if you are painting from observation or a photo (like I do most of the time), simple shapes and lines at the right place help establish where everything will fall! ... There is nothing worse then rendering something in a painting and later finding out there are issues such as scale, perspective, or something just looks off! That is why doing a good underpainting will set you up for success later on, especially if you know everything is in the right spot! ...
