Paul Hanisch Ludwig Hanisch reveal their new unique collaboration: »The SPLASH« Symbols, fragments and memes from interactive media congregate into the painting »SPLASH« by Ludwig Hanisch. The clear visual style emphasizes the virtual world into which the monkey character drops like an avatar. The materiality of the painting surface and analogue color create stark contrast – thereby elevating the illustrative subject to a unique painting. Transferring digital imagery into the analogue space means building a bridge and at the same time putting the work to a test: What do we take with us from these unreachable worlds?
