Make a Wooden Vise | DIY Wood Vise

In this video, I am making a bench wood vise. ► This is a project I wanted to make for a very long time. A vise is essential in a workshop and I didn’t have one. So this time I made a wooden vise. The body is made out of plywood, I used a threaded rod (⌀10mm) for the screw and a steel rod (⌀8mm) for the handle. The jaws are 11cm wide and the vise opens nearly 12cm. The jaws are made out of beechwood, replaceable and the vise can easily be clamped down to a workbench - that was my primary intent to move the vise as needed. MAKE A WOODEN VISE | DIY WOOD VISE I started by building the vise base. The front part and the front jaw slide in the fixed part in a routed dado. Then I build the jaws and the stands. The stands are made out of plywood, fixed with glue, and additionally with screws. After that, I built the vise screw. That one is made out of a 10mm threaded rod, fixed in a nut on the other side. The threaded rod is attached to the handle with long cure epoxy. Handles are made out of steel rod and beechwood. Finally, I assembled all parts together and attached the jaws to the vise.
