Famous Steel Solos #3: “Storms Never Last“ (Weldon Myrick) - YouTube

This is one of my favorite classic solos by the great Weldon Myrick. To get the same vibe as the original, I used the double tracking technique that was popular at the time with a lot of steel guitar players; all you have to do is record your solo twice and pan one to each side. It’s a specific sound that doesn’t work all the time, but it can be very cool in the right context. Free tabs:
