“Red Waters of the Faroe Islands“

“The process of killing whales looks terrible. The whole sea turns red. But here’s the thing. If you kill a cow in a pool, the water will also be red.” So the fishermen of the Faroe Islands justify the killing of whales and dolphins. And while the whole world is against it, they continue to hunt mammals. During the last hunt, the fishermen killed almost a hundred animals. The people of the Faroe Islands consider the corral of whales and dolphins an integral part of their culture. This tradition is about 1200 years old. But people used to hunt marine mammals during times of famine. How is such a brutal murder justified now, and is everyone in favor of such fishing on the islands?
