Just now! New earthquake in Turkey! Buildings are collapsing in Malatya!

An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 occurred on Monday in the Turkish province of Malatya in eastern Turkey. As noted, the tremors occurred on February 27 at 12:04 local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 7 km. Authorities say at least one person has died and 110 have been injured. Some previously damaged buildings also collapsed. Over the past three weeks, four new earthquakes have occurred in the region, as well as 45 aftershocks ranging in magnitude from five to six. The province of Malatya was one of ten affected by two devastating earthquakes on 6 February. Then more than 50,000 people died in Turkey and Syria.
