Hurdle Training - 5-step rhythm hurdling the 42s

April 10, 2012 - Workout - 5 times over 6 hurdles (42 inches) with spacing of 40 feet/ meters for a 5-step rhythm. Recovery 5 minutes between each flight. I like that my wind recovery was good to go inside of 90 seconds. Simply look to get stronger with the rhythm getting faster as I progress through the sets. Fatigue set in on the last set and once I got off balance through the last 2 hurdles.. couldn’t correct it. Also, got to work on that lead leg kicking out straight a bit too much. Once I hit peak point I want to be stepping down off the hurdle with some bend at the knee. Was floating adding to the drifting to my favorite side of the lane. Legs are stronger from the work in the weight room. Once they get use to the work and freshen up. It’s on! Love the challenge and simply love being in the moment... of Hurdling!
