Co-written by Shep Solomon and Fernando Garibay, this goth-disco track delves into the human desire for love. ‘Vampire Love’ is accompanied by a captivating Halloween-themed music video directed by horror maestro Ryan Valdez, featuring model Julien Crane and renowned Spanish artist Vinila Von Bismark. “Vampire Love” begins with an instrumental that goes on for 20 seconds. Drachenberg sings about the night scene; the music video takes place in what seems to be a Halloween party. “Lately // Something bout the night // It makes me hazy // Come on in, take the ride // Now don’t be lazy // And I just may comply // Yeah maybe, maybe baby”. At first the song has themes of love, but then the opposite happens. “You’re the lov­er I’m hold­ing on // When the world goes down // And all is gone // You’re the lov­er that can treat me wrong // Treat me wrong yeah”. This song is about vampires, and Kat Von D alludes to a fantasy setting where the listener is free; a place where they can let go. “Just take me away // Into your secret paradise // Come just steal my fate // There’s only you and me tonight // I got so much rage // That needs too come out from inside”.
