U.S. sanctions Russian shipping companies linked to N. Korea arms transfers

美, 북러 무기 거래 관여한 러시아 해운회사 3곳•선박 제재 The U.S. has imposed sanctions on Russian companies associated with Moscow’s arms transfers from North Korea. In its new Russia sanctions package over its war in Ukraine, the U.S. State Department announcement on Tuesday included three companies involved in the export of North Korean military goods. The firms named were shipping firm IBEX, Asia Shipping holdings and Asia Shipping company. South Korean and U.S. believe North Korea in exchange presumed to have acquired space technology that was used in its military reconnaissance satellite launch. Also on Tuesday, the Treasury Department imposed sanctions on more than 150 individuals and entities linked to Russia’s Ukraine war.
