Trailing The Whale (1933)

Titles read: “Trailing the whale. Most romantic - and arduous - of all hunts, when boats were pulled and harpoons were thrown. Today, power driven ships with harpoon guns trail the world’s greatest mammal.“ Location of events unknown. Various shots of a whaling ship at sea. A whale is seen, fairly near to the boat. The whalers shoot a harpoon out towards it, then haul it in to the side of the boat. We then see the huge whale being pulled along the beach while people stand watching. Cataloguer’s note: this is quite unpleasant. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
