Kowloon Walled City documentary (Part 3/4) + english subtitles

Part 3 of a 1989 probably Austrian (maybe German) documentary on Hong Kong’s fabled Kowloon Walled City. Originally uploaded by aveletrian. Subtitles added by yours truly. (C) 1989 Hawke Productions ltd I’m not sure why but, holy smokes, this one was very hard to translate. That’s my lame excuse for the delay. Sorry ’bout that but it’s actually true. I try to make the translations as literal as possible and that is hard to do for certain idioms. It also frequently results in pretty awkward english. I don’t even want to think about how many times i ignored english grammar rules just to keep the translation as literal as possible. On the plus side you actually get a feeling of how the german language is constructed by watching this. Of course the narrator has his own style and german in documentaries is not the same as spoken german but you get what i mean. Oh, and it was late so i skipped the spell check. (Lame, i know.)
