Israel Hamas war - Day 3, What we know so far

Israel is continuing its military response after hundreds of its citizens were murdered in a multi-pronged, co-ordinated massacre by terror group Hamas. It began on Saturday morning when Hamas terrorists indiscriminately fired thousands of rockets into Israel from Gaza. More than 700 Israelis have been killed and thousands were injured in the horrifying surprise attacks. Using the rockets in the skies as cover, marauding Hamas gunmen broke through security fences and entered towns in southern Israel, killing many civilians including women and children and taking around 100 people hostage. In one incident, at least 260 people were massacred at a festival. Around 10 Britons are also believed to be missing. In response, Israel has declared a “state of war“ and the Israeli Air Force has carried out multiple strikes on Hamas military targets in Gaza. The Palestinian ministry of health in Gaza said at least 300 Palestinians were killed in air strikes and over 1,700 were injured. Israel has vowed to do whatever it takes to prevent further terrorist attacks.
