Austrian military helicopters fighting forest fire at Hallstatt

Final stages of the firefighting action at the World Heritage Site Hallstatt in the Austrian resort region Salzkammergut. In the thick of the forest fire that started on August 21 on a mountain slope above the village, four helicopters, led by a mighty Black Hawk, were fighting it at once, but at the time of filming in the afternoon of August 24, 2018, only two Bundesheer dated choppers, an Augusta-Bell 212 and an Aérospatiale Alouette III, were pouring water from the lake over the last remaining hot spots. The arrival of forecasted rain helped their effort greatly but also hindered my filming it.
