Queen Of The Roses (1914-1918)

Queen of the Roses - In spite of inclement weather Queen Alexandra makes her annual tour. Location of events unknown - London? Queen Alexandra walks from entrance to large building to pose beside a horse in harness (probably pulling her carriage). The horse sniffs and licks her hand. She starts to take off her cloak and a man appears to take it from her. She pets the horse then walks off. M/S of open carriages driving through city streets - Queen Alexandra in the first one (presumably). Crowds wave from the pavements. Pan across a group of women - some in uniform, some dressed in white - who seem to be standing at a fund-raising stand, with some of them wearing pin trays around their necks. They wave their handkerchiefs for the camera. G 485 A. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
