Listen to what Sam Shamoun just said! 😲🤯 #muslim #god #christian #jesus #shortsfeed
Sam Shamoun, a well-known figure in Christian apologetics, has brought attention to the characterization of Allah in Islamic texts as “al-Makr,“ often translated as “the best deceiver.“ Shamoun points out that this description contrasts sharply with the biblical portrayal of God, where truth and faithfulness are defining attributes.
Shamoun says that Satan is labeled as “the deceiver“ in the Bible. Shamoun argues that this stark difference in divine characterization calls for critical reflection and dialogue.
According to Shamoun, if the Bible identifies only one deceiver, Satan, and if the Quran attributes deception to Allah, then this raises deep questions about the attributes and identity of God in Islam.
