Blackout Trailer (1942)

Titles read: “MofI GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL - COMING SHORTLY!“. Voice exclaims “The Invisible Man! Find him, before he causes any more trouble!“ (in style of feature film trailer). Various shots of policeman lining up in a police station and filing out of a room. They get into cars and drive off; others walk off. Voiceover says (in spooky voice) that “he“ is lurking in the town, the village and the country lane. A man is almost run over on a country lane. Two police officers get out and berate him for not wearing light clothes so he can be seen in the blackout or carrying a torch. A man on a bicycle falls into a ditch because he couldn’t see with his faulty light. He gets it in the neck from the coppers too. A car comes speeding around the corner and crashes into the police car as it didn’t have proper lighting. The driver is told off and hauled away.
