Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 | Swing Assist 10 vs Swing Assist 0 | Gameplay Comparison

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 introduces a new feature called Swing Assist. It basically brings a level of challenge in the core mechanic of the game, the Swinging. Swing Assist can be set anywhere between 0-10. Although its really difficult to show the difference in the gameplay with Swing Assist 0 to 10, I have tried to give a basic idea here. When swing assist is at 10, swinging is automatic like Spider-Man 1. You just need to hold the forward stick and directional stick and Spider-Man will move through the world effortlessly. Physics, tension, web bending are not applied to swinging. It doesn’t matter which building your web actually attaches to. Spidey will also never fall. The height of the swing doesn’t matter much with swing assist turned to 10 When swing assist is at 0, swinging becomes much more manual. You have to constantly adjust your direction and orientation to go in the right way. You will be swung in a completely wrong direction if you simply hold forward. Physics, tension and the building your web is attaching to comes into play. Spidey will also fall to ground more often if there is not enough tension on the webs or not high enough. All these factors are changed incrementally going from anywhere Between 1-9. In both here, I am holding the forward stick. With swing assist set to 10 I am not having to adjust my other directional stick.
