Her father, Marwan, is unsure how to navigate his daughter’s situation, they have not connected well since Lara’s mother passed away. But when Vanessa, Lara’s childhood best friend, pushes her to join in a relaxing weekend in an isolated resort, and leverages Marwan’s worry, Lara is forced to agree. Lara and Vanessa make their way to George’s resort: a failed cabin retreat on the remote borders of the country. There is nothing around for miles. While the trio catch up on recent lives, George lets a crucial piece of information slip: they are expecting someone else. Lara realises this too late as she finds herself face to face with Amir. We quickly realise that this entire retreat was planned to convince Lara to come and to silence her. Amir knows that Lara is going to talk to the police about a traumatic incident that occurred between them, and both he and Vanessa are determined to keep Lara silent. Their plans turn sour when Amir thinks he mistakenly kills Lara in a heated confrontation in private. When Lara wakes up, she has to find her inner strength to overcome her fears and make it out alive. “It Gets Darker“ Credits: WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY Firas Abou Fakher and Daniel Habib PRODUCED BY Last Floor Productions Executive Producers Firas Abou Fakher Daniel Habib CAST Nadia Charbel Hiba Chihane Walid Feghali Nour Hajjar WITH Badih Abou Chacra LINE PRODUCER Aya Kanj DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY Rachid Asmar PRODUCTION DESIGNER Riwa Baroud Editor Mark Eid WARDROBE STYLIST Isabella Khoury MUSIC BY Firas Abou Fakher SPECIAL EFFECTS Aline Raad SOUND RECORDIST Chadi Kanj COLORIST Charbel Abi Semaan FIRST ASSISTANT DIRECTOR Mario Ghabali SET MANAGER Rashad Nasreddine PRODUCTION COORDINATOR Nour Fakhouri CASTING COORDINATOR Kristina Feghaly SCRIPT SUPERVISOR Najwa Harb 2ND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR Paola Dib 1ST AC Rawad Saad 2ND AC Hatem Chayna DIT Giorgio Karam VIDEO PLAYBACK Luna Abi Raad BOOM OPERATOR Karim Nasr ASSISTANT ART DIRECTORS AND PROP MASTERS Joyce Ghanem Karen Assaf TOOLMAKER Mario Slim ASSISTANT WARDROBE STYLIST Nour Habr MAKEUP ARTIST Michelle Sleiman HAIR STYLIST Moe Maanieh ASSISTANT SPECIAL EFFECTS Mohsen Kamareddine CATERING Al Qaa Country Lodge ACCOMODATION IN QAA Al Qaa Country Lodge and Joey’s Beach LOCATION PERMITS PROVIDER Manal Mrad MOTOR VEHICLE CONTROLLER Kamil Nehmeh DANIEL HABIB’S PA Calina Hajj Chehade PRODUCTION RUNNER Amin Mahayri SET PHOTOGRAPHER Kassim Dabaji CAMERA AND LIGHTING EQUIPMENT Media Square KEY GRIP AND CAR RIG Tony Dagher GAFFER George Waked LIGHTING ASSISTANTS Georges Estephan Ibrahim Seaidia Ahmad el Moussa Raymond Khattar Noel Kiwan SOUND DESIGNER Marwan Tohme TYPOGRAPHER Ghiya Haidar About ALTER: ALTER is an ever-expanding platform for the most daring storytellers in the world of horror.
