Lisa Hanson, a former bistro owner in Minnesota, was jailed for violating lockdown orders from Governor Tim Walz during the COVI

Lisa Hanson, a former bistro owner in Minnesota, was jailed for violating lockdown orders from Governor Tim Walz during the COVID-19 pandemic. She claims that Walz’s actions “shut down and destroyed“ her small business, the Interchange Wine & Coffee Bistro, which had been operating for eight years. After initially complying with the shutdown in March 2020, Hanson grew frustrated with the prolonged restrictions on nonessential businesses while essential ones, like liquor stores, remained open. She defied the shutdown order multiple times between December 2020 and January 2021 and was ultimately convicted on misdemeanor charges in December 2021, receiving a 90-day sentence and a $1,000 fine, of which she served 60 days. Hanson warns that such government actions reflect a troubling level of tyranny. Source: Police frequency
